“Personable” is a term people often use to describe Blair Mathewson. Blair got into mortgage lending after buying his first home and knew the kind of experience he wanted to create for his clients. After more than a dozen years of helping people get financing, Blair blends the human side of the mortgage process with the ingenuity and tenacity necessary to guide transactions to successful closing. He believes knowledge and the understanding that everybody and every situation is different are critical to assess a situation, manage the details, challenges and timing of a mortgage transaction. When it comes to consistently meeting his own high standard, Blair Mathewson is personable and a “person able.”

The terms “qualify” and “approval” are intimidating by definition. Blair understands that most people don’t get mortgages and expose their finances to the degree required to do so very often – so he skips what he calls the “stuffy banker mentality” in favor of his own approach to help people work through the financing process openly and honestly. Referrals are a large part of Blair’s business and he attributes this to his ability to help people feel comfortable.

Avoiding unwanted surprises takes experience and skill in mortgage lending, and with all the variables that can arise, Blair offers his word and assurance once he gives it as something borrowers and referral partners can consistently count on. Blair can honestly say he loves dealing with all the people involved in every transaction from the clients to the real estate professionals and all the other folks involved in getting a home purchase and refinance from start to successful finish.

When Blair is not here at work, he is busy with his three boys Alex, Connor, and Parker, who between music, video recording, and soccer, keep him busy as he supports them in their activities. If he can find time after doing the Dad stuff, you’ll find him watching or at a baseball game, or on the felt playing poker.
